Information Technology Apprentice

Positions at this level receive on-the-job and classroom training in an information technology (IT) specialty. Positions may be a part of a United States Department of Labor (USDOL) certified apprenticeship and upon successful completion, individuals may receive a national occupational credential. Incumbency in these apprentice positions will be of limited duration.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

An aptitude for an IT specialty area which may vary by apprenticeship cohort. Ability to participate in classroom and mentorship training. Ability to demonstrate/apply learned competencies.

Typical qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
