Positions at this level do the day-to-day work of correctional programs and administrative support. Accountable for meeting with offenders upon their arrival, providing orientation, assigning jobs, and assigning beds. Positions at this level may also be accountable for maintaining offender records including fingerprints, photographs, case histories, sentence and judgment papers, legal forms, and releases.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of offender classification in adult correctional facilities. Ability to prepare and maintain accurate offender identification records and reports.
High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
