Developmental Disability Service Supervisor

General summary

Supervisory or system review position accountable for planning, coordinating, and supervising the work of those in the previous levels. Accountable for analysis of the quality of work, compliance with regulations and binding authority, and recommendation to upper management for approvals or denials of services. Employees may provide clinical analysis and recommendations to contracted providers, or review and monitor performance of contracted providers and assist with remediation strategies or penalties for substandard performance. Incumbents will be responsible for analyzing progress on overall system milestones and goals.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of legal requirements, contractual obligations, and best practices related to the provision of supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. Ability to plan, organize, analyze, and evaluate the work of direct care and support staff.  Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned programs.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
