Lottery Marketing and Promotions Manager

General summary

This is a managerial position with the Missouri Lottery accountable for directing or assisting in the overall planning, development, and administration of an assigned Lottery program or service in such areas as research, product management, marketing, communications, promotions, events, sponsorships, and vendor/player/retailer relations. Assists in directing the development and implementation of agency planning issues.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

Knowledge of current lottery industry marketing, promotion, sales, or service provider operations and issues; state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and agency policies and procedures related to the state lottery; and budgeting, fiscal management, and contract management.  Ability to analyze and evaluate policies and operations and formulate recommendations; provide leadership and supervision to professional, technical, and related program staff; and manage change, provide program management, and achieve results.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
