General summary
This is a professional level position accountable for performing a variety of standard and complex tests and analyses to provide laboratory data. Tests performed at this level require a degree of technical judgment, decision making and accuracy in performance of assigned duties. At this level, employees provide technical interpretation of test results.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of science terminology, concepts, and principles. Ability to perform assigned tasks according to specific instructions and clearly prescribed procedures.
Typical qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 year of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
