Compliance Inspection Manager

General summary

This is a supervisory position accountable for the design, planning, implementation, and management of an agency specific compliance inspection and enforcement program. Supervision is provided to professional and vocational level staff.  Work at this level requires the ability to perform long-term planning and develop related budgets; thorough knowledge of legislative scope, program related regulations, and compliance issues and requirements; the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships; and the ability to impact issues at the legislative level (e.g., write legislative concepts and policy opinion packages). Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform the work overseen.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of programmatic legislative issues. Ability to perform long-term planning, and develop policy and program budgets. Ability to make legislative recommendations.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
