Regulatory Compliance Manager

General summary

This is a managerial position accountable for the design, planning, implementation, and management of a specific compliance program that has statewide impact. Supervision is provided to professional level staff. Work at this level requires the ability to perform long-term planning and develop related budgets; thorough knowledge of legislative scope, program related regulations, and compliance issues and requirements; the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships; and the ability to analyze issues at the legislative level.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of the background, philosophy, mission, and objectives of the agency and the legislative process. Knowledge of governmental budgeting and fiscal management. Ability to manage change, provide effective management, and achieve results. Ability to develop short and long-range plans that meet established objectives and contribute to the overall goals and mission of the agency.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
